Luxury department store, Harvey Nichols, is searching for a new Restaurant Manager to join it's Fourth Floor Brasserie in Leeds. About the role…

As Restaurant Manager, you will be the first point of contact for our customers and make their dining dreams a reality, providing a fun and enjoyable 5* experience. You will:

  • Be responsible for the business performance of the Brasserie and Bars
  • Analyse and plan hospitality sales levels and profitability
  • Organise marketing activities, such as promotional events and offer schemes
  • Prepare reports at the end of the shift/week, including staff control, food control and sales
  • Create and execute plans for department sales, profit, and staff development
  • Set budgets or agree them with senior hospitality management
  • Plan and coordinate menus, working closely with the head chef
  • Coordinate the operation of the Brasserie ensuring that kitchen, bar and waiting staff are working as a team
  • Recruit, train, manage and motivate staff
  • Respond to customer queries and complaints
  • Meet and greet customers, organise table reservations and offer advice about menu and wine choices
  • Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety
  • Check stock levels, order supplies and prepare for the weeks ahead.
  • Comply with licensing laws and other legal requirements.
  • Work closely with your team and celebrate fabulousness wherever you see it
  • Flexibility is a must; customer service can’t wait during weekends and evenings!

Is this you?

We are looking for individuals who embrace diversity, love a challenge, are passionate about luxury retail and food and are looking for something uniquely different.

  • Have you done something like this before?
  • You will ideally have a successful high end bar and restaurant background with proven experience managing teams.
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrate an excellent knowledge of the food and beverage industry
  • Impeccable command of the English language both written and spoken.
