About the role…
As Head of Concessions and Marketplace you be a key stakeholder for all Concessions & Marketplace business working with the relevant Director to ensure best practice. This is a group-wide role based in Knightsbridge, and you will be required to travel to all stores to support the business. You will be:
- Protect Harvey Nichols income by implementing margin agreements and ensuring contract renewals.
- Grow concession budgets by sourcing new brands and expanding existing ones.
- Measure sales and NAM densities, and optimise store space with the FOB Director.
- Plan concession strategies with FOB Directors for future growth.
- Forecast and budget concessions, obtaining FD approval.
- Ensure accurate reporting and data analysis to improve brand performance.
- Engage new brands to increase the concessions mix and act as an HN brand ambassador.
- Build strong relationships with brands to drive sales, maintaining transparency at Director/CEO level.
- Attend sales reviews with brands to support their business in Harvey Nichols.
- Conduct regular updates with Store GMs to drive local concession business and loyalty.
- Lead legal requirements for Concession & Marketplace contracts, working with legal teams.
- Approve final concession and marketplace contracts.
- Review financial reports and brand accounts, advising on financial viability.
- Resolve contractual and operational issues to ensure timely brand launches.
- Manage relationships with internal stakeholders to promote the concession brand portfolio.
- Collaborate on new concession shopfits and timely transitions.
- Work with Marketing and Media Managers on concession activities and strategies.
- Ensure in-store concessions have an online presence and represent the concession mix.
- Use HN.com Marketplace to support in-store concessions and protect margins.
- Oversee the marketplace user experience, addressing any issues.
- Monitor seasonal deliveries and competitor websites for optimal product mix.
- Resolve marketplace customer complaints promptly.
- Develop and grow the Concessions & Marketplace team
Is this you?

- Experience in concessions and luxury retail.
- Strong negotiation skills and financial awareness.
- Law degree or equivalent preferred.
- Great attention to detail.
- Be self-motivated and confident team leader.
- Ability to analyse complex financial data (retail P&L).
- Able to recognise new trends/business opportunities.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Effective communication at all levels.
- Able to present complex data simply.
- Confident in approaching new brands at Director level.
- Able to take ownership and drive results.
- Works well independently and in a team.
