About the role…

As a Talent Resourcing Assistant you will play an active part in ensuring that Harvey Nichols attracts the right talent across all Head Office and Retail areas through creative attraction and search methods. You will support the Talent team with end-to-end recruitment from placing advertisements, sourcing candidates, shortlisting CV’s.  There is real variety, and this role really does offer great job satisfaction, for those individuals who are passionate about providing superb service to your stakeholders and candidates. You will immerse yourself in all things Harvey Nichols – understand the business, the teams and really get under the skin of Harvey Nichols and what the business needs. The ideal candidate will have proven recruitment experience either agency or inhouse, ideally within a retail environment.

You will be:

  • Working with the Group Talent and Acquisition Manager at TA Partners to design roles and job descriptions which are fit for purpose and support Harvey Nichols strategic aims.
  • Leveraging brand engagement through developing and rolling out a targeted engagement strategy and annual content calendar through different channels. 
  • Updating Social Media sites as a key method of attraction.
  • Writing job advertisements in line with Harvey Nichols branding.
  • Determine the best media to advertise roles and which roles should be advertised.
  • Proactive searching across all channels.
  • Working with/ sourcing agencies as required.
  • Screening of job applications for roles.
  • Organising interviews with Hiring Managers.
  • Collecting and providing feedback to candidates.
  • General administrative support within field of resourcing.
  • Support in building external talent pool using tools such as LinkedIn.
  • Managing internal applications.
  • Maintain regular communication with external talent pool about future opportunities.
  • Ensure our careers website is on-brand and attracts and engages with the right talent.
  • Maintaining recruitment tracking and reporting.

Is this you?

We are looking for individuals who embrace diversity, love a challenge, are passionate about luxury retail and are looking for something uniquely different.

  • Have you got previous resourcing experience in retail either agency or clientside?
  • Are you familiar with a wide range of recruitment methodologies including online, head hunting, advertised, database?
  • Are you able to screen candidate CVs and make selection decisions based on competencies, experience and awareness of relevant diversity and discrimination issues?
  • Capable of managing several simultaneous and complex recruitment assignments and ensuring timely actions are undertaken to fill roles in the minimum possible time?  
  • Ability to deal effectively with challenging and time pressured line management, ensure regular updates are communicated and expectations managed? 
  • Do you have excellent communication skills (both verbal & written)?
  • Do you have a ‘can-do’ enthusiastic attitude?
  • Are you a natural relationship builder, with the ability to work independently?
  • Do you have intermediate skills in using Microsoft Office (Excel & Word)?
  • Do you have excellent attention to detail and good organisational skills?
