Goods Receiver and Purchaser - OXO

With three amazing venues situated on the eighth floor or one of the most iconic landmarks in London, OXO is searching for a new Goods Receiver and Purchaser to join its thriving restaurants on the Southbank. This role is responsible for taking care of orders and deliveries for our restaurant and brasserie kitchens, bars, and front-of-house teams. Need to ensure that we have the necessary supplies and equipment to meet our daily operational needs, while maintaining stock levels. As the new Goods Receiver, you will work 40 hours a week in our Brasserie and restaurant.

About the role…
Inventory Management

  • Manage inventory levels for all food and beverage items, including the front of house, bars, and kitchen (refer to morning requisition for both Restaurant and Brasserie kitchens).
  • Create purchase orders for all inventory items, including bread, ensuring they meet par levels and align with projected bookings and upcoming events.
  • Maintain par levels for First Aid and stationary supplies, place order when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate stock levels in the Tevalis inventory management system:
    • Do morning requisition for both Restaurant and Brasserie kitchens,
    • Do requisitions for both Brasserie and Restaurant bars twice a day,
    • Do requisitions for the Front of House teams, morning and afternoon (Restaurant and Brasserie runners to bring requisition sheets downstairs).
  • Conduct stocktakes and data entry for the inventory management system
    • Complete the monthly Dry Store stocktake,
    • Enter the monthly stocktake figures in Tevalis.
  • Liaise with suppliers and place orders for all inventory items, including dry goods, beverages, wines, liquors, chemicals, and first aid supplies
    • Order the Dry store items,
    • Order the wines, beers and spirits for the bar,
    • Order Chemical items when Jo is away.
  • Ensure all invoices are reconciled with purchases and approve purchase orders for payment
    • Reconcile invoice numbers and purchases on Tevalis,
    • Liaise with Finance, batching invoices on P: drive for quick payment.

Warehouse and Storage

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised environment in all storage areas, including the dry store, beverage store, wine fridges, and loading bay.
  • Receive deliveries, verify contents, and ensure proper storage (Sign for any dry store and wine deliveries and put away, Sign for any parcels, ensuring they are for us, and giving them to the correct person or storing them in the correct place)
  • Communicate any out-of-stock lines, vintage changes, delivery discrepancies or any product substitutions to all persons concerned
  • Help to place orders for non-sellable items when needed.

Other Duties

  • Assist with beverage stocktake as required.
  • Load new ingredients and supplier information into the Tevalis inventory management system.
  • Enter rotas on Civica provided by other departments to support on their duties.
  • Assist with cash collection and limited cash office duties in Finance and Stock Administrator's absence.
  • Ensure that the department is maintained in a safe manner, free of hazards, and that store Health and Safety Regulations are always adhered to. Escalating issues to the relevant line manager.
  • Contribute towards a thriving team environment through engaging in-service training and team activities with a positive mindset.
  • Assist with any reasonable other duties as assigned by senior management.
