Luxury department store, Harvey Nichols, is searching for a new Bar Manager to join its thriving Hospitality team in our Manchester store. Our culture is based on inclusivity; we embrace diversity. Whoever you are, Harvey Nichols has a place for you.

As the new Bar Manager, you will work 40 hours a week across our opening hours, with standard close 7pm Monday – Thursday, and 8pm Friday – Saturday and 5pm Sunday.

About the role…

For this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing a fun and enjoyable 5* experience, whether that be making their dining dreams a reality or providing outstanding customer service You will:

  • Direct the bar operations team to ensure both customer and employee satisfaction is achieved in a motivated and cohesive environment.
  • To ensure guest expectations are exceeded and seek opportunities to improve the guest experience by seeking feedback and evaluating service levels. Implementing and developing strategies to improve where necessary.
  • To work closely with senior management in developing the overall dynamic in the bar team
  • Serve amazing food and beverages to our customers and give them a memorable experience from the moment they sit down!
  • To support set up and prepare the Café and Bar before service, ensuring all standards are adhered to.  
  • To carry out any other reasonable request as made by the senior management of the Manchester Store.
  • Flexibility is a must; customer service can’t wait during weekends and evenings!
