About the role… 

As Online Senior Stylist you will be responsible for styling luxury fashion and product still life for the Harvey Nichols online store. You will provide leadership to the Fashion Assistant and Cut-out Stylist whilst creating inspiring, on-brand, on-trend outfits across all families of business, take accountability for daily styling output for both men's and women’s fashion. You will ensure product selection complies with the Harvey Nichols aesthetic and is commercially viable. You will have a strong eye for detail and provide eye catching styling whilst constantly improving the online shopping experience at Harvey Nichols.com.

  • Reports into Online Styling Manager.
  • Manage both the Cut out Stylist and Styling Assistant ensuring their development and progression, setting objectives which are aligned to the strategic direction of the brand.
  • Carry out Rail checks when required ensuring consistency and adherence to brand standards.
  • Style inspiring, on-brand, on-trend outfits for approximately 40-50 products per day including all accessory and jewellery options which will entice customers and showcase our products in their best light.
  • Work with on-set team; including assistant, photographer and models to deliver all online product imagery that accurately depicts clothing and is styled according to Harvey Nichols in house standards
  • Strong, up-to-date knowledge of designers, brands, trends and Harvey Nichols editorial
  • Work with Studio stock controller to keep Styling wardrobe up to date each season with new stock ensuring stock is not mishandled.
  • Proactive in suggesting improvements to studio processes and assist the Studio Manager and Styling Manager with implementation.
  • Work with photographer and model on-set to co-direct and select best poses.
  • Ensure no more than 2% of your images are reshot per week, with 100% accurate product representation
  • Responsible for keeping reshoot log up to date and coordinate as required with stock controller.
  • Meet image deadlines for weekly uploads
  • Capable of resolving complex issues when relevant and communicate workflow status and concerns to Styling Manager.
  • Work with other members of the studio production team to ensure the photo studio is organized and ordered.
  • Perform testing within the team to continuously innovate the Harvey Nichols brand
  • Proactive in suggesting improvements to studio processes and assist the studio manager with implementation.

 Is this you?

  • Degree in Fashion or equivalent
  • Proven experience working with models and comfortable giving direction 
  • Experience working in a fast paced studio fashion environment (luxury preferred)
  • The ability to style strong on brand and on trend looks on a model set.
  • Proven experience in team leadership and development.
  • The ability to style still life lay down shots whilst having an exceptional eye for visual composition, proportion and detail
  • A strong and thorough knowledge of Menswear and Womenswear designers and brands  
  • Proven ability to work to stringent deadlines
  • Great attention to detail
  • Pro-active and able to show initiative and ideas to constantly improve the image quality of the site and studio processes
