About the role…

As Senior Stock Movement Assistant, your role will be to ensure that the processes which govern the flow of stock in the store from the Supply Chain through to sale, are followed consistently, maintaining stock integrity. You will support all areas of the store where stock is required to be moved, transferred or utilised without sacrifice to its quality or accuracy within the Stock Management System or which provides a disservice to our customer, acting as a role model to support the stock team to manage stock processes which will promote and maintain stock accuracy and minimise shrinkage. You will:

  • Maintain all stock movement procedures, and ensure staff adhere to them (e.g. mail orders, transfers, stock recall, parcel post).
  • Ensure the timely and accurate completion of all associated paperwork.
  • Oversee all necessary computer input and reporting on the Merret system.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping in the stockroom and ensure that food stock is managed according to regulations.
  • Maintain control of all stock entering and leaving the building.
  • Manage all supplies to the store including packaging, ensuring adequate stock levels at all times.
  • Support the teams to manage the movement of stock fixtures in line with business requirements.
  • Work in and support the department to ensure that it is maintained in a safe manner, free of hazards, and that the store Health and Safety Regulations are adhered to at all times.
  • Maintain a keen awareness of store security procedures and policies and to carry out stock checks as directed by the Team Manager.
  • To be aware and ensure the security of the Loading Bay at all times.

  • A good level of PC skills - high level of accuracy

  • Previous supervisor experience is desirable
