Luxury department store, Harvey Nichols, is searching for a Private Shopping Assistant to join its thriving Private Shopping team based in our flagship store in London - Knightsbridge. About the role…

Assist the Private Shopping team to help Harvey Nichols deliver the best private shopping experience in the luxury market, both in-store and digitally.

Support the Private Shoppers and the Private Shopping Manager with all client-related initiatives, ranging from setting up appointments, placing orders, maintain integrity of stock as well as taking over a Private Shoppers duty in full while they are out of office.

Work closely with the private shoppers in your team, ensuring you have full understanding of each clients shopping preferences and always providing a seamless service.

What you will be doing...
 

  • Support a team of private shoppers to build Harvey Nichols Private Shopping client base by assisting in all client related activities, including but not limited to private shopping appointments, store visits, brand events, meals etc.
  • Understand the unique needs of both your local and global clients, and ensure you are meeting these and providing an incredible service both physically and digitally.
  • Take ownership of full communications with clients whilst a private shopper is out of office, including appointments, selling or stock management.
  • Answer emails and calls through to our main private shopping lines and take responsibility of organising any requests including appointments. Ensure that the calendars are up to date and appointments are communicated with the shoppers.
  • Manage and maintain client data base and files, ensuring that client data is handled in a compliant way and on Harvey Nichols own systems.
  • Manage stock movement efficiently, adhering to any rules or brand exclusions.
  • Customer Transfer requests to be treated as a priority in order to maximise all sales opportunities, ensure that customers are contacted immediately upon arrival of their goods in store. Ensure that all paperwork is completed correctly in full and is easily accessible to other team members.

Please note that as our corporate clients are global the role requires availability out of normal working hours, as well as flexibility to make last minute changes to your schedule depending on your client’s needs.
