About the role… 

As Junior Merchandiser  you will achieve a strong continuity of  business, successful new launches and promotional activities through optimised but controlled stock levels for the Fragrance category. You will:?

  • Manage orders - ensuring that they are raised, amended and deleted on a timely basis and as required.
  • Attend strategy meetings to feedback on stock and understand brand ambitions and NPD.
  • To review and propose quantities for new products and launches.
  • Manage stock levels including replenishment, transfers, allocations, returns and PAR levels.
  • Manage product set up – ensuring correct set up on system, including prices, margins, PPM, hierarchy and descriptions.
  • Liaise and communicate with suppliers, the warehouse and stores to manage deliveries into the business.
  • Respond to store, supplier, accounts and warehouse queries
  • Produce stock and sales reports including weekly sales, supplier reports and strategy pack information.
  • Identify bestsellers and trends and present information at weekly department trade meeting.
  • Sale planning – plan markdowns, negotiate funding, action discounts and raise rebates on the system.
  • Develop strong working relationships with our brands.
  • Work closely with the Junior Buyer for Fragrance to develop strategy, review ranges and drive growth to achieve targets.

Is this you? 

We are looking for individuals who embrace diversity, love a challenge, are passionate about luxury retail and are looking for something uniquely different.  

  • Previous experience in Merchandising
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills
  • Excellent IT skills (MS Office, Excel, Retail analysis systems)
  • An active interest in Beauty, with knowledge of the Fragrance category.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent level of accuracy
  • Good numerical ability
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • A team player
