As Commercial Technology Manager you will own and manage the commercial technology systems, ensuring they are high quality, customer focused and cost effective. You will be partnering with key stakeholders in merchandising, supply chain and other business functions to understand and mitigate their pain points, manage change and deliver solutions that enable business goals.

About the role
- Responsible for the management, delivery, integration, support and overall ownership of all commercial systems, including (but not exhaustive) merret, joor, mulesoft.
- Business partner with the commercial business teams across merch, buying, supply chain and hospitality to understand their business goals and pain points; plan and prioritise short and long term solutions to support their strategy ensuring regular communication and clear decisions.
- Working with the wider IT team and external partners to ensure the workload is properly defined, scoped, costed and scheduled and that resources are utilised efficiently.
- Own the systems architecture and integrations for retail systems, working with internal and external stakeholders to align on architectural decisions and ensure documentation standards are met and maintained.
- Own the partner relationship with our systems providers and integrators, from day to day support through change projects and commercial/contract negotiations, holding them to agreed SLAs and standards.
- Accountable for ensuring all company system documentation standards are being adhered to by both the internal teams and external partners for commercial systems.
- To constantly review all commerce systems to ensure they are delivering high availability, secure and optimal performance.
- To provide clear reporting of business change progress, recommendations, issues and solutions to the Head of Digital Technology.
- To work closely with the IT Infrastructure & Service Manager to ensure that underlying infrastructure supports any new initiatives in a timely and cost effective manner.
- To identify opportunities for the implementation of improvements in procedures, customer service or other efficiencies in operation and to work with appropriate internal and external resources to achieve these changes.
- Ensure knowledge of industry best practise, alternative tech platforms and partners and emerging trends to inform our roadmap and strategic decisions
- To report on system and third party supplier performance, as required.
- Line manage and develop Analyst with clear deliverables, objectives, regular 121s, reviews and a development plan
- Champion learning and development for the technology team, sharing your knowledge and coaching both your direct report and wider team to continuously improve. · Ensure knowledge of industry best practise, alternative tech platforms and partners and emerging trends to inform our roadmap and strategic decisions
About your experience
- Experience of working in an Agile development environment
- Experience of working on relevant business areas and technology
- Knowledge and experience of delivering change in a fast-moving Multichannel Retail environment
- Knowledge of support processes
- Demonstrable successful experience in managing the development of retail solutions including Buying, Supply Chain, Data and integration, in line with strategic goals
