About the Role
As Junior Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Senior Sous Chef and Head Chef in the day-to-day leadership of both the Pastry and Main Kitchen. This is a dynamic position requiring versatility, technical skill, and confident leadership across multiple sections.
You will:
Support the leadership and development of the brigade across pastry and savoury sections, ensuring consistency, discipline, and excellence at every service.
Demonstrate strong technical ability from refined dessert execution to precision-led savoury cookery maintaining the highest standards across all dishes.
Oversee mise en place, service flow, and section readiness to ensure seamless delivery during lunch, dinner, and high-profile events.
Step confidently into service leadership when required, maintaining composure and clear communication under pressure.
Uphold the highest standards of hygiene, health, safety, and food handling across both kitchens.
Assist with ordering, stock control, margin management, and minimising waste in line with business expectations.
Train, mentor, and inspire junior chefs, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Lead by example, embodying professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to excellence.
