What you will be doing
The Sous Chef will be assisting the Head Chef across the kitchen to ensure the smooth running of service:
Ensure the satisfaction of all customers by ensuring that prompt, courteous and efficient service is given by you, and your team, at all times.
Consider the satisfaction of customers at all times by managing kitchen efficiencies in order that meals are provided at an appropriate speed
Assist the Head Chef in the recruitment of staff.
Produce and serve food in accordance with current authorised recipes.
Ensure that the department is maintained in a safe manner, free of hazards, and that the store Health and Safety Regulations are adhered to at all times.
The role in full time, working 40 hours a week. You will be required to work weekends and evenings.
Skills and experience you need
At least 1 years’ Sous Chef experience
Good knife skills
Elementary food hygiene
