With three amazing venues situated on the eighth floor or one of the most iconic landmarks in London, OXO is searching for a new Sommelier to join its thriving restaurants on the Southbank. Our culture is based on inclusivity; we embrace diversity. Whoever you are, OXO has a place for you.

As the new Sommelier, you will work 40 hours a week in our Brasserie/ restaurant.

About the role…

As a Sommelier, you will be helping prepare beverage for our customers and make their eating experience with us a memorable 5* experience. You will:

  • Have a thorough working knowledge of the menus and be able to describe all dishes on the menu to clients if asked.
  • Have a thorough working knowledge of the wine list.
  • To be aware of and be knowledgeable about the cocktail list and drinks available from the bar, and therefore in the restaurant.
  • To set up and prepare the restaurant before service.
  • Show we are obsessed with customer and colleague experience and service by maintaining a high standard of hygiene, health and safety.
  • Be devoted to our customers by providing the highest possible standards of customer service in a fast paced atmosphere
  • Work as a team in setting up and ordering and preparing wine stock before service begins
  • Develop a high level of knowledge about our wine menus (with over 800 wines) and share your opinions on the best drink and food partnerships
  • Work closely with your team and celebrate fabulousness wherever you see it
  • Flexibility is a must; hospitality service can’t wait during weekends and evenings!
