Harvey Nichols are on the look out for an experienced Security Officer to join our team in our Manchester Store.

Security Officers are responsible for the protection and security of Company assets including staff, property and stock and to provide a safe and comfortable environment for our customers.

What you will be doing

  • Be part of the existing security team providing the highest level of security, ensuring compliance by all employees of the Company policy relating to Health & Safety and Fire.
  • Having full knowledge in P.A.C.E and  S.O.C.A and all recent and current legislations involved in the role.
  • Present a clean smart professional image at all times, and report for work and duties at the scheduled time.
  • Have full knowledge of duty related situations relating security procedures relating to criminal activity.
  • Have full knowledge in store emergency procedures relating to evac and invac situations.
  • Protect the company’s property and personnel, and assist in the detention of criminals through prevention and detection of criminals.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of the department at all times ensuring regulations relating to the data protection are followed.

A bit about your experience

The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Security Guard / Officer gained in a similar luxury environment preferably within the retail industry.

  • Current SIA licence preferred.
  • Understanding of current legislation.

A bit about you

You need to be presentable, highly organised, and alert. You will have outstanding communication and customer service skills.

Your hours of work will be 42 over 5 days on a rota basis.
