Security Officer

The successful candidates will assist in monitoring and maintaining the Company’s Security procedures. They will support with protecting the company assets and their employees, assisting in the prevention and detection of crime within the store to help reduce losses where possible. Be able to provide a high level of customer service at all times in a uniformed presence.

The roles are full time working 40 hours a week, including weekends and evenings. The role will regularly include one weekend off a month.

The salary for this role would be £21,216 per annum, with an increase to £21,840 after completion of probation period.

Skills and Experience Needed

  • To assist in upholding the Company’s policies and procedures in all security related matters and to report any breaches of Company policy.
  • To be confident in following the Company’s emergency procedures.
  • To provide a fair and consistent level of enforcement of all policies and procedures and to represent the Company in a professional manner, maintaining a high level of confidentiality at all times.
  • To identify and advise on any possible stock loss risks or best practice in loss prevention.
  • Having full knowledge in ASCONE and requirement set out by the Procurator Fiscal
  • To detect persons responsible for stealing Company property, cash and/or merchandise, and following Company policy and procedures in the conviction of individuals.
  • To conduct regular and random searches of employee and contractors’ possessions, within the Company’s policies.
  • To always maintain a high standard of personal professionalism.
  • Maintain a safe working environment for staff, customers and visitors to the store.
