The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Receptionist/Host to join our Brasserie team. The position is permanent, working 34 hours, including weekends and evenings.The average salary for this role is £23,380 per annum, this is comprised of a base salary of £17,237 (based on a 34 hours contract) and an estimated average earnings of around £6,142 in TRONC and Tips. 

We are looking for someone who can take reservations and allocate tables efficiently, ensure to greet customers with a five star welcome and to assist the Brasserie teams during service. 

What you will be doing

  • Provide the highest possible standards of customer service ensuring guests are greeted and bid farewell in a polite, efficient, professional and friendly way.
  • Answer emails politely and professionally and complete any resulting actions required.  Ensure messages are communicated as intended.
  • Be aware of, and promote, all services and activities on the Forth Floor and throughout the store. 
  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the reservations system and follow company procedures when making, altering or confirming reservations.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of the menu and drinks list in order to answer customer queries and make recommendations.

Skills and experience you need

  • Experience in a customer facing role or high-volume hospitality environment preferred
  • Comfortable using different IT systems
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English
