React / NextJS Developer

REACT/NEXTJS DEVELOPER, CHISWICK/ HOME BASED, WEST LONDON. 6 MONTH CONTRACT

Front End Developer required who is highly experienced with React and NextJS to help deliver a performant PWA and mobile app wrapper.

What you will be doing:

• Rebuild our Front End in NextJS with mobile-first in mind.
• Deliver mobile app wrapper and app store deployments.
• Make use of Service Workers and other offline techniques.
• Follow Harvey Nichols delivery methodologies and QA processes.
• Deliver documentation and training when required.

A bit about your experience:

• Expert with JavaScript, React and NextJS
• Desirable – experience with Reactive Native, Capacitor, Expo or similar technologies
• Experience with Git or other version control systems
• Extremely confident working with APIs and complex integrations
• Experience with headless architecture
• Ecommerce experience required

A bit about you:

• Able to confidently communicate with internal stakeholders at all levels; ability to present is desirable. Must be able to show leadership skills and good team communications.
• Manage workload between projects and business as usual support tickets. A “No task is above me” attitude is a must.
• Liaising with third parties internally and externally to discuss integration of the product.
• Non-technical skills required are being a collaborative team player, can-do attitude, ability to work independently or as part of a team, approachable and pragmatic. 
• Must have a natural thirst for technology and anything digital, as part of your role is to evolve the company’s digital landscape.
