To support the Production Manager with the build, installation, delivery and storage of display props and equipment for use in Harvey Nichols windows and interiors.
Assisting with the allocating of costs and managing the spend of each window /interior display project.
To maintain the workshop building and utilities in conjunction with the Facilities manager and head office facilities.
To deputise in Production Managers absence managing the team and any freelancers.
Assisting the Production Manger to set and manage budgets for each project. Helping to estimate costs and updating the cost sheets to ensure the wider Display team are aware of spend.
Assist with sourcing suppliers and ordering materials as required for each build, ensuring spend is appropriate to given budget and quotes submitted offer good quality and value.
Set up timesheets for all freelancers into the Brookson Portal to arrange payment, completing timesheets and completing any checks required for new roles
To work alongside the Production Manager to schedule production team workload for each scheme build and install. Booking appropriately skilled freelance staff as required, and sourcing new freelancers for both workshop and regional sites
Plan and organise van deliveries and collections across all stores for scheme install and take outs
Assist the Production Manager to ensure risk assessments are produced and submitted to the relevant stores for all installs and take outs
Drive the department van to deliver and collect display materials for KB and suppliers as required
To effectively manage the movement of mannequins, display materials and props between the workshop our stores, our suppliers, and the DC
Work with the Head Office windows team to plan and realise the reallocation of window schemes around the regional stores. Liaising with the stores on any information required for takeout’s/derigs as deemed necessary
Organise mannequin & prop storage at the workshop and the DC ensuring things are protected from damage, and to ensure records are kept on what we have in storage, including the recall of props/display equipment when required.
Oversea the daily duties of the Assistant Workshop coordinator
Deputise in the Production Manager’s absence, including passing information onto team and freelancers and ordering any materials required
Liaise with Facilities Manager/ HO facilities and Health and Safely Manager to ensure workshop building, machinery, equipment, and utilities are in full working order and ensure the workshop is maintained as a safe working environment. Ensuring all freelancers are aware of the system in place when operating and machinery/power tools
To maintain production office admin including submission of T&A for team.
Work in stores to assist with scheme installations and take outs as required
Be aware of current Health and Safety legislation and ensure the team and freelancers are aware and follow safe working practices at all sites.
Maintaining the security of the workshop and all materials, equipment and assets that are stored within it, ensuring procedures are in place in case of fire etc
Work closely with the Sustainability requirements of the company, working with local colleges, schools etc that where possibly items are recycled for further use, looking into more recyclable products where possible to keep the company footprint down.

Experience in budget maintenance
Ideally previous experience of working in a production workshop or similar environment
Previous experience managing a workshop or warehouse building. (desirable)
Qualified PAT tester (desirable).
IOSH Safety management qualification (desirable).
