About the role… 

As a Production Technician you will assist and deputise for the Production Manager in all operations of the production workshop by producing and modifiying high quality props and displays for the stores window display.

• To produce and modify high quality props and display materials for use in windows and interiors in conjunction with the Production Supervisors
• To prepare props for distribution to all stores, involving wrapping and assisting with loading and unloading props onto van.
• To assist with the installation of display schemes within the Knightsbridge store ensuring HN standards of design and presentation are maintained.
• To assist in the construction of scale mock-ups, prototypes and/or full-size examples in order to help visualise ideas and overcome problems.
• To work out how props will be built, subject to approval of Production.
• Manager.
• To maintain good day to day housekeeping in the workshop and to ensure the workshop is maintained as a safe working environment, Informing the Production workshop coordinator of any possible Health and Safety issues in the workshop.
• To ensure that the Health and Safety codes are put into practice within the workshop and when working in the stores
• Travel to regional sites to install schemes as and when required, overseeing freelance workers instore to ensure HN standards of design and presentation are maintained.

To ensure that individual work and work of freelancers during regional installs complies with the safe practices specified in the risk and manual handling assessments.
To help ensure quality standards and delivery requirements are met at all times.
To liaise with and assist outside companies that produce or install display materials to ensure work is carried out efficiently and to HN standards.

Is this you? 

We are looking for individuals who embrace diversity, love a challenge, are passionate about luxury retail and are looking for something uniquely different.  

• Do you have proven experience in carpentry and prop making?
• Do you have a Minimum NVQ level 1 in carpentry or equivalent?
• Do you have retail display experience?
• Do you have experience in a workshop in any field events/theatre/retail/television/film?
• Do you have knowledge of current Health and Safety legislation including risk assessment.
