This is an exciting role for an ambitious and driven Product Manager to join our technology team. The right candidate will thrive within a fast-paced and innovative environment and preferably have experience in Retail and Digital.
The Product Manager sits within the development team managing the ongoing product roadmap and deliverables to the business. Working closely with all stakeholders including but not limited to Business Leaders, IT Managers, other Product Owners and technical teams.
This role focuses on the digital platforms Harvey Nichols uses to trade online or via apps
What you’ll be doing:
Develop the overall product/functionality strategy of our business across multiple platforms, informed by business goals, consumer and market needs, and competitive insights.
Lead the full lifecycle – from ideation, requirements definition, through to delivery – collaborating with teams across the company.
Communicate a clear set of business priorities and consumer imperatives at all times to drive key trade-offs.
Maximise efficiency and profit through improving and simplifying identified areas for improvement with a holistic approach
Work with the technical team to research user (internal and external) testing, and competitor analysis and synthesise data, surveys and analytics from all sources across the business to identify opportunities, priorities and recommend directions
Gather and analyse requirements including personas, scenarios, task analysis to meet project goals
Take ownership of, and ensure, the team designs with user centred interaction models and suitable functional spec for development teams is always provided
Meticulously think through every aspect of the user experience across multiple screens, putting users’ needs and expectations first in the definition of requirements
About your experience:
Strong technical background and prior experience developing products across platforms, using insights and analytics;
Product roadmap management experience
Demonstrate extensive and diverse UX through practise working across all desktop, tablet and importantly mobile devices
Proven results in the retail sector.
A solid understanding of retail technologies and product and business trends
Agile development experiences a must.
Ability to prioritise competing opportunities, balance market needs with business priorities, and drive detailed trade-offs over the product lifecycle, manage conflict, and articulate the rationale behind decisions.
A passion for usability and a good eye for consumer-friendly, intuitive design.
Expert level in gathering requirements and writing functional spec
