PLANNING AND TRADING ANALYST - LONDON

To work closely with the Group Planning Manager, driving strategic planning across the merchandising function. Supporting the merchandising team with reporting and analysis, providing recommendations to improve performance. Automating processes and data tools, to ensure all areas aligned.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Support with weekly Monday morning trade reports, updating the wider team in a timely manner
Provide analytical support and expertise within the merchandising function
Work with Group Planning Manager to continuously improve existing processes and tools, to increase performance
Ownership of the trading calendar, to ensure standardised activity and time management across all departments
Assist with annual budget and re-forecast reviews
Review margin performance and investigate any deviations from plan
Work closely with the merchandising team during OTB planning
Support the markdown process: Updating weekly and daily sale reports and analysis, to assist with the management of stock and profit margin
Continuity & seasonal stock management. Provide detailed analysis on performance, review sales cover at brand and line level to propose re-orders
Provide regular reviews of branch stock, & sales at brand level

Highly numerate, with a natural ability to interpret and deliver action plans.
Can demonstrate a collaborate approach with other teams across the business
Confident dealing with queries at all levels
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Great communication skills with your peers and the wider retail business

 

ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE

Previous experience at Assistant Merchandiser level
Experience in Fashion Merchandising
Advanced MS Office skills: Pivot tables, V-Lookups, SUMIF statements
Proven aptitude for using trading tools and retail analysis systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills
