The Online Senior Stylist will help guide our in-house styling team by creating style inspiring, on-brand, on-trend, editorially relevant outfits across ready to wear shoes and accessories to be shown on our global ecommerce website. The ideal candidate will be confident, inspiring, trend aware in outlook; with particular knowledge and experience in luxury ready to wear. They will work closely with the buying teams to ensure the Harvey Nichols Brand is showcased effectively and be confident enough to interpret the buyers’ vision. They will also deputise for the Styling Manager and be able to communicate and execute a clear vision at levels ranging from junior stylists to director level on occasion. They will present styling rails where necessary to the Styling Manager for approval with minimal changes.
What you'll be doing:
Provide guidance, advice and training for the styling team.
An ability to resolve styling issues and escalate where appropriate.
Support other studio managers in the delivery of targets and team goals.
Support model selection process alongside studio managers.
Ensure all images are delivered to the Head Office within specified time slots so they available to review.
Perform quality control on all images; identify and action any necessary reshoots and feedback to the team.
Be pro-active, able to show initiative and suggest ideas to constantly improve the workflow and quality of the styling team, as well as the wider business.
Support special business projects requiring styling guidance.
Grow the team so they support the changing demands of the business’ creative needs and direction
Carry out ad hoc duties when required.
About your experience:
Degree in Fashion or equivalent
Experience working with models
Previous styling experience in a Editorial and/or Commercial environment (Luxury preferred)
A strong and thorough knowledge of designers and brands.
Proven ability to work to stringent deadlines and exceptional eye for detail
Excellent work ethic
Pro-active and able to show initiative/ideas to constantly improve the image quality of the site and studio processes .
Ability to work collaboratively and value differing perspectives
Experience negotiating timings and managing expectation across different departments would be an asset
Proven experience in managing/supervising, mentoring and developing a team.
