Harvey Nichols as a business is currently hugely focused on the online channel and has a strong and extremely ambitious growth plan for their online business in the coming years. To support this growth, we are seeking an Online Executive to join our Product Marketing team to ensure we are optimising the trade of product on-site.

The Online Product Marketing Executive will be focused on our Online Concessions/ Marketplace piece (touching across all areas of product category – Womenswear, Accessories, Shoes, Menswear, Beauty and Homeware) as well as our Own Bought Kidswear selection and any other departments we evolve into this year.

The Executive will work closely with the Content, Marketplace, Merchandising, Buying and Production teams to push key products online with a strong commercial focus, and own all online product marketing for these departments. Creating and implementing unique ways to sell key products and brands via category selections and visual merchandising. The role has a strong focus supporting the Ecommerce Manager by being the Online go-to for all Marketplace & Kidswear brand launches and promotional campaigns on site.

What you'll be doing: 

  • Responsible for defining and implementing visual merchandising, site algorithms and search requirements for Marketplace Brands (WW, Acc, Shoes, MW and Home) as well as Kidswear categories, Search and Brand pages. Including website testing and developing the VM strategy for these departments seasonally.
  • Owner of any Kidswear & Homeware email product selection, and email sign off customer journey and New In selections. Actively engage with CRM & Social channels to ensure brands/products in your areas are being supported where possible.
  • Support the Marketplace & Online Trade team by being responsible for weekly on-site analysis of your departments; UX Changes, category reporting, Visual Merchandising and Search, as well as tracking of all major content for your areas and weekly reporting pack.
  • Owner of Marketplace imagery guidelines and upholder of product imagery/details – Third party brands and concessions are free to upload whatever content they wish, so this needs strict monitoring, feedback, and review regularly. 
  • Support Marketplace/Concessions with all Brand/Category VM requests.
  • First point of contact with the design teams to define categories, links, and product availability across all Marketplace & Kidswear categories.
  • Take a key role in support of the Product Marketing function by being responsible for the launch of any new departments launched under Marketplace or Own Bought this year. Department can be subject to change depending on where support is needed. Undertake PM Exec duties for said department, overseeing studio > PIM > Live image process and the general Trade and VM of product on site.
  • PIM champion responsible for signing off all product in your areas to go live to the site daily. Responsible for being main Online Pipeline user, communicating with Marketplace daily with tasks/updates assigned to us.
  • Fred Hopper champion within the Product Marketing team.
  • Support the Ecommerce Director and Ecommerce Manager with the rollout of projects from fast paced online roadmap, including requirements gathering, testing, bug reporting and ongoing monitoring/reporting on performance where needed.

A bit about your experience: 

  • Ecommerce professional with at least 2 years’ experience, online retail experience preferred.
  • Experience with Magento or another Enterprise Ecommerce platform preferred.
  • Experience with Fredhopper preferable.
  • Experience with Google Analytics.
  • Experience working in an agile environment using tools such as Jira or similar preferable.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.

  • A strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Knowledge/understanding of Google Analytics, AdWords, and SEO preferred.
