To provide full support to the Online business on daily & weekly sales reporting & analysis. Supporting in calculating the month-end cost accruals for the online business. Analysing performance and the monthly P&Ls compared to forecast and supporting the Online team on ad hoc projects and analysis.


What you will be doing:

  • Reporting to the Senior Online Finance Analyst and support the Online team to manage their P&L
  • To produce the daily & weekly sales reports for publication to the business in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Analysis of performance of promotions & events. Support the Online team to highlight opportunity and risks.
  • Responsible for preparation of Online Management report. Responsible for all online month end postings, calculation of accruals, business partnering with budget holders and finance to ensure reports are accurate.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
  • Analysis of sales and margins for online and providing commentary of variances compared to budget and last year
  • Analysis on performance of key cost lines against budget to help the business track and manage costs
  • Continuous improvement of both the preparation and presentation of reporting requirement
  • Prepare the weekly sales reconciliation analysis, raising and resolving any discrepancies with IT and the customer service centre and submitting this to finance
  • Assist Senior Financial Analyst with ad hoc queries/projects


A bit about your experience

  • Good numerical skills.
  • Part-qualified or keen to start studying towards an accounting qualification (ACCA/ACA)
  • Retail experience would be advantageous
  • Experience of working in finance department.

Excellent PC skills – intermediate Excel (including PivotTables, Data Filters, V-lookups etc).
