About the role…
This is an exciting and innovative role for a creative and driven Mid-Weight Designer who we are looking to come on board and help elevating the Harvey Nichols brand, across all our multichannel digital platforms. The right candidate will thrive within a fast-paced and innovative environment, preferably with a luxury retail background and will work within the Creative & Marketing department. You will deliver inventive and strategically considered and exciting design on both a day-to-day and larger campaign level.
- To develop and take design ownership of the Harvey Nichols digital design footprint, supporting the HBCC and the Creative & Design Manager in the vision and development of Harvey Nichols digital design and content.
- Design and develop high-quality work for digital content, emails, website, affiliates, social media assets and print and instore screen assets.
- Lead and manage BAU projects and work across Online, Social and CRM briefed into the creative team from the CRM department, along with seasonal briefs and larger projects set by the business.
- Ensure the workflow is managed effectively across the team from brief to final design and delivery.
- Ability to create digital campaigns for multiple territories and different user groups.
- Implement seasonal brand guidelines and champion brand consistency across all digital touchpoints, ensuring all design outputs adhere to brand guidelines.
- Work with the Online Product and Content Manager, UX/UI and CRM teams, to align the user experience with the creative digital content (on all devices).
- Comfortable working with CMS design systems and able to understand how to design creative content within those systems.
- Meet tight deadlines, handling workloads in a calm and professional manner.
- Stay fully abreast of new trends, technologies and advances in digital design and identify opportunities to apply these. Be aware of emerging fashion and cultural trends and be adept at interpreting those into cutting-edge creative design, providing advice and guidance to the team.
- Be able to create and confidently execute concepts for marketing, promotional, gifting and commercial campaigns (via still-life shoots, graphics or treatments), and getting involved in the outcome and art-direction.
Is this you?
- Previous experience in a digital and print design role within a (preferably) fashion or lifestyle luxury brand.
- Confident to bring strong and unique digital design ideas to the creative team.
- Knowledge around mobile and desktop web usability best practices, responsive and adaptive design alongside a holistic approach to overall usability and design.
- Have a high-level skill set with all Adobe creative suite such as InDesign, Photoshop, XD, Illustrator, and After Effects – a clear good knowledge of HTML and its limitations on both Email and Website. Able to design compelling, luxury editorial digital content.
- Passion & purpose: Must be comfortable working in a rapidly expanding, highly dynamic/flexible environment.
- Decision maker: must be comfortable assessing situations and making decisions quickly.
- Organisation: you will need to be organised and methodical, a self-starter who can manage your own work.
- Attention to detail: Apply a forensic approach to each stage of the design process to ensure an ideal 'right-first time' outcome.
- Excellent communications skills.
