Merchandise Logistics Controller

MERCHANDISE LOGISTICS CONTROLLER  - LONDON 

Responsible for the logistics and administration process in relation to international shipping. Also, providing greater visibility and weekly review of inbound stock to the business. 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING    

• Updating terminal stock files
• Review terminal stock position with Head Of Merchandising
• Manage administration process linked to international shipping
• Process and create all paperwork for export of goods globally
• Ensure shipping tariffs and costs are always minimized
• Continue to evaluate and improve shipping processes
• Proactively review existing operations and logistics procedures to streamline processes and save costs continually throughout the year
• Owning the relationship with logistic partners to guarantee the efficient delivery of goods
• Support all departments within the company with international shipping requirements and related paperwork
• Be a main point of contact for any queries or updates.
• Liaising with warehouse to ensure shipments are correctly labelled and packaged
• Weekly reporting of inbound stocks with enhanced visibility to merchandising and the wider business of deliveries and forecast stock levels

• Knowledge of stock control systems
• Good understanding of shipping logistics handling to include international shipping requirements
• Strong knowledge of logistics supply chains and global distribution
•  Good Excel Knowledge
•  Proactive individual
•  Numerical and analytical thinker
•  Positive can-do attitude
• Good communication skills (both written & verbal)
•  Excellent attention to detail

ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE

• Experience as a stock controller / logistics manager
• Retail knowledge & experience is essential
• The ability to analyse data
• Efficient in Excel
