MARKETPLACE ACCOUNT MANAGER - KNIGHTSBRIDGE - 12 MONTH FTC

To assist the Concessions & Marketplace Manager in building implementing and driving the concessions online business strategy in order to grow the HarveyNichols.com bottom line sales in line with the Company’s vision and strategic growth plans. Marketplace offers the unique opportunity to onboard brands to the HN website allowing them to fulfil customer orders directly from their own warehouses.

Concession sales account for 33% of the Group business instore, we currently have 185 concessions across all families of business including, womenswear, menswear, accessories, beauty and food but no concessions online. The role of the Marketplace Account Manager is to grow the online business through actively assessing the trade of our MP partners on HN.com and within the wider market and to maximise sales by using this data to support commercial decisions made by the brands particularly with regards to product selection. These brands will fulfil customer orders directly from their warehouses.     

 

What you will be doing:

  • Work closely with the web team to ensure new brands are launched efficiently and on deadline to Marketplace and that checks are in place to ensure that the end result is of an expected quality, highlighting and managing any issues
  • To act as liaison between the brand and the IT team to ensure consistency in the Marketplace user experience
  • To train the brand to be onboarded to ensure a smooth onboarding process and that they are fully developed and operationally confident within 6 months, to develop and suggest training material to aid in this process
  • Work closely with the marketing team to plan the support strategy for all brands sold online including emails and social media, suggesting ideas and concepts in line with HN marketing calendar
  • Work closely with the DC logistics team to ensure timely dispatch of products and returns
  • To protect HN income financially by reviewing brand payments, managing or escalating issues identified
  • To ensure accuracy of reporting and to use analysis of data to prepare and implement strategies to improve brand performance
  • To prepare and analyse sales information for brand appointments
  • To ensure that brands achieve best practice by monitoring nil picks, sales, dispatch rates, refund rates and new launches
  • Work with brands to achieve the highest sales possible by ensuring a thorough understanding of their focus for the season, that HN support brands  with new launches and that brands comply with HN KPI’s and participate in promotions
  • To use all available tools to assess trade of the MP brands (SKU levels, Sales by SKU, marketing support inclusion, imagery standards etc)  and provide feedback to Concessions & MP Manager so a strategy can be implemented and changed as needed.
  • To review and advise on brand product selection in order to maximise sales
  • Establish self as the main point of contact for marketplace brands and build a strong relationship as an ambassador of HN
  • To prepare and ensure timely signature of brand contracts and the maintenance of the contracts log, including ensuring that brand files are kept up to date, flagging in a timely manner when contract are due to end.
  • To ensure the timely upload of new season product and sale mark downs
  • To supervise, train and develop the Marketplace Administrator
  • To develop the commercial onboarding practices to ensure best results including suggesting and implementing new practices
  • To work closely with aggregators to establish self as their trusted first partner with their brand acquisitions and in order to recommend aggregators to brands.
  • To manage the consignment brands including sku creation, stock levels, photography quality and new launches.
  • Work with consignment brands to maximise their business through marketing and product range including inclusion in HN promotions and the timely launch of new season product.
  • Work with the customer service team to resolve any customer queries or issues.
  • To work with Marketplace & Concessions Manager to forecast sales and put in place budgets which are agreed by the business

 

About your experience:
