You will ensure that employees at all levels and in all job roles have the skills required to work effectively, demonstrate behaviours that are in line with the brand values and are motivated to do their best. You will have a customer centric approach and experience of service expectations in the Hospitality Industry. It is important you have a good understanding of the hospitality environment, and the challenges that are currently being faced in this climate. You will have experience of designing and delivering measured training solutions for all levels of a business, including face to face and digital delivery. You have well rounded tech skills and be confident with using different programmes to create and deliver training resources. What you'll be doing:
Work with the Learning and Development Manger to support creation of a joined-up learning strategy. You will take an active role to fully immerse yourself in OXO.
You will be working on OXO and Hospitality based solutions that have the potential to be adapted for all Hospitality sites by the wider L&D team, so communication is key. You will be able to research a brief to create valid, authentic, creditable, relatable content around it.
You will be required to design/create learning content that can be delivered via a digital media, including but not exclusive to E-Learning, videos, publications and quick reference guides.
Create face to face training packs that will be used by our managers in store that supports core skills & behaviours. You will work with the store leadership team on flexible delivery methods.
You will be delivering face to face training for management and non-management levels on a diverse range of topics, including the OXO Induction to all new starters.
You will support OXO leadership teams in implementing L&D strategies and be available to advise through the processes when needed.
You will collaborate with the GM and leadership team to understand the current training needs. You will observe how training is implemented, delivered and measured.
You will be able to take operational policy and turn it in to engaging education.
You will be able to manage projects and identify key milestones, communicating your progress with stakeholders.
You will work with key stakeholders on opportunities to expand team knowledge with third party suppliers such as WSET and Food Standards Agency.
You will be a coach and mentor for a diverse population of employees and know when to adapt your style to gain the best results.
You will support OXO with recruiting, training and retaining apprentices in BOH and FOH departments
You will identify the different skill sets of team members in all BOH and FOH roles and create training initiatives to adapt to these
You will be willing to upskill your knowledge to support all areas of the business as needed.
You will support to ensure our teams are educated to operate within requirements of the law e.g. licencing, allergens, health & safety etc.
You will work closely with the Group Health & Safety Manager to ensure high levels of compliance are maintained at OXO with up-to-date training records.
You will play a key role in maintaining our LMS platform with accurate employee details, ensuring that the relevant training is allocated and completed by employees.
You will work alongside the HR & Operational teams to address issues proactively and confidentially.
At times, you will work with the wider L&D team to support all new starters and employees across the company. Travel to other stores to support the business or group wide initiatives may also be requested from time to time.
A bit about your experience:
You will have a proven track record of training, coaching and developing others.
You will have expert knowledge of working in a Hospitality environment and have worked in the industry.
You will have experience working with a Learner Management System to record and measure training and compliance.
You will have experience of measuring success, including working towards KPI’s.
You are a real team player and have great stakeholder management.
You will have worked in fast paced environments where the goal posts are constantly moving.
You will have conceptualised – created - launched - evaluated digital and face to face learning solutions.
You will have experience managing projects with timelines that range from 2 days – 6 months.
You will need to be comfortable with technology – This includes using it, supporting development of it, leading by example with it.
