Harvey Nichols are looking for a L&D Partner - to play an active part in the organisation’s results by creating a culture where learning, self-development and inquisitiveness are the norm. This is a group wide role that will be blended working based from the nearest store or office and working from home. At times you will be required to travel to stores to support the business.
You will ensure that employees at all levels and in all job roles have the skills required to do work effectively, demonstrate behaviours that are in line with the brand values and are motivated to do their best. You need to be a people expert with a natural flair for coaching and getting the best out of people. It is important you have a good understanding of the retail and hospitality environment, and the challenges that are currently being faced in this climate. You will have experience of designing and delivering measured training solutions for all levels of a business, including face to face and digital delivery. You have expert tech skills and are confident with using different programmes to create and deliver training resources. You need to be able to pick up systems used and understand them. We are a fast-paced adaptable team that looks for opportunities & solutions not problems. No two days are the same, so agility is key!
What you'll be doing:
Work with the Learning and Development Manger to support creation of a joined up learning strategy, creating a consistent approach across the Harvey Nichols group. You will be supporting all new starters and staff across our locations via predominantly digital media. With this role being group wide you will be creating National/Regional/Local content at times, so it’s important you take this into consideration.
You will be required to design/create learning content that can be delivered via a digital media, including but not exclusive to E-Learning, videos, publications and quick reference guides. You will be able to confidently utilise digital technologies and channels in your day to day.
Create face to face training packs that will be used by our managers in store, that supports core skills & behaviours.
You will be delivering virtual & some F2F workshops/courses/programmes.
You will have expert tech skills and have good experience of working with systems including LMS platforms, training delivery of IT software and other digital programmes. You need to be able to pick up internal systems and understand the full process including how they work in practice for the end user.
Work with key stakeholders and experts in the business on creating practical systems training via a blended method, making it more user friendly for our teams.
You will need to be able to take operational policy and information such as ‘how to guides’ to turn them in to engaging education for all levels of the business.
You will be working on company based solutions that are fit for all sites, so communication is key.
You will be able to research a brief to create valid, authentic, creditable, relatable content around it.
You will have a good knowledge of Health & Safety and Hospitality Compliance, and support to ensure our teams are educated to operate within requirements of the law e.g. licencing, allergens, food safety etc
You will be able to manage projects and identify key milestones, communicating your progress with stakeholders.
You will be a coach and mentor and know when to adapt your style to gain the best results.
You will be willing to upskill your knowledge to support all areas of the business as needed.
You will work alongside the HR & Operational teams to address issues proactively and confidentially.
You will be supporting further education programmes that are in partnership with a 3rd party or delivered internally.

You have experience managing projects with timelines that range from 2 days – 6 months.

You will have worked with LMS, LXP platforms and digital training methods to provide measurable results.
You will have knowledge of creating and working on Hospitality training, including E-learning, compliance and customer service.
