For the role of Kitchen Porter, The average salary for the position is £10,92 per hour + TRON & TIPS, working 40 hours a week.

About the role…

As a Kitchen Porter, you will ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of hygienic standards in kitchen and ancillary areas:

  • To prepare the dishwasher machine, ensuring a fast and efficient return of crockery and cutlery
  • To ensure potwash runs smoothly and is manned at all times during service.
  • To collect any dirty utensils (i.e. pans, trays) from kitchen and return clean to the correct place
  • To ensure that all equipment, crockery, cutlery etc is kept clean and cared for to reduce breakages and damage to stock
  • To assist chefs in the operation of the kitchen as efficiently as possible
  • To ensure any removal of rubbish from the kitchen is done quickly and efficiently
  • To follow cleaning procedures set by the Head Chef correctly and assist chefs to maintain cleanliness of the kitchen
  • To be aware of hygiene and Health and Safety procedures
  • To actively take responsibility for own performance and conduct towards hygiene, fire, H&S as laid down by statutory and company procedure
