An opportunity has arisen to be part of the Harvey Nichols London HR team as a HR Assistant. The role is on a full time basis (35 hours per week) and reports to the Deputy HR Business Partner for London. This role will be based either in Knightsbridge or OXO Tower Restaurant, Bar and Brasserie

We are looking for someone who is proactive, passionate about working in a fast-paced diverse environment and have passion to help people in all areas of their employment journey. Basic UK employment law is required for the role. 

We work in a very diverse and fast paced environment. Our succesful candidate needs to be very organised and have excellence attention to detail. We need someone with great energy and outstanding communication skills. The role will also be involved in supporting different HR projects. 

The main objectives of the role are:

  • Provide accurate administrative support across all HR processes to the HR function in a confident and sensitive manner, including preparing management information reports or any ad hoc reports and continually updating the organisational charts.
  • Complete HR administration in accordance with employee related legislation and internal policies and procedures.
  • Manage the Payroll process for the assigned function(s) in line with internal audit guidelines and all available Process Maps.
  • Support with recruitment administration where necessary and prepare and complete new starter administration accurately, including offer packs and contracts.
  • Prepare all administration related to all employee new starters, changes, amendments or leavers for the specific location.
  • Monitor and maintain the HR metrics, identifying and escalating issues to the HR Advisor.
  • Maintain complete and accurate HR files and electronic files in line with Company policy.
  • Work closely with the Engagement and Wellbeing Project Teams to follow and roll out reward, recognition, wellbeing and engagement initiatives.
  • Contribute to HR projects as appropriate.
  • Carry out any other reasonable ad hoc duties in order to support the HR function.
  • Deliver HR Harvey Nichols induction. 

Skills and experience you need:

Excellent written and verbal skills.
Outstanding organisational skills.
The ability to build good working relationships.
Basic UK employment law knowledge
Good working  knowledge of excel, word, power point
