An opportunity has arisen to be part of the Harvey Nichols London HR team as a HR Advisor based in our flagship hospitality site: OXO Tower Restaurant, Bar and Brasserie on a full time basis (35 hours per week). (Monday to Friday)

About the role

As HR Advisor you will be reporting to our London Regional HR Business Partner, and you will be based in our OXO Tower Restaurant, Bar and Brasserie on a flexible working from home/office approach. This role has 1 direct report (HR Assistant).

We are looking for someone who is proactive, passionate about working in a fast-paced diverse environment and have excellent knowledge of Human Resources within a customer service environment.

You will:

  • Provide proactive, pragmatic and commercial support and project management on all HR initiatives and developments.
  • Work in partnership with line managers on performance management, talent planning, employee relations, resourcing, reward and recognition and employee management/development.
  • Manage and advise line managers on employee relations issues (including disciplinary, grievance and changes to terms and conditions) and ensure line managers are continually up to date with amendments to relevant Employment legislation, minimising risk to the business.
  • Support with interviewing and the determining of candidates, challenging managers on candidates to ensure that the business has the most talented employees in place to develop their success.
  • Evaluate people issues (e.g. recruitment, retention, performance) from a reward perspective and identify appropriate reward solutions.
  • Coach line managers in the application of employee well being and engagement.
  • Support the HR Assistant with Payroll duties.
  • Implement employee communications and deliver engagement activities to timescales.
  • Manage and translate the full range of HR information systems, data and processes.
  • Keep up to date with employment legislation and HR best practice and ensure that you are following the correct processes on all projects you are working on.
  • Manage, coach and develop direct report through regular and frequent 121s, following up on all delegated projects.
  • Support employees on people matters including; maternity, paternity, benefits, wellbeing.
