Harvey Nichols is in an exciting, ambitious phase of evolution. We are seeking an exceptional Social Media Editor to join our Creative Content Team and help shape our future.
Develop and implement the Harvey Nichols Social Media Strategy in line with the wider Creative Content vision and marketing direction. Keeping ahead of trends and innovation in all areas of social media and ensuring Harvey Nichols social content continues to stay current whilst striving for progression within our brand values.
Working with the Creative Content Editor, Junior Social Media Manager and Social Media assistant you will oversee the delivery of the Harvey Nichols social media channels in line with the wider Creative Content Plan. This role will be working across all the Social Media activity for the group ensuring that Harvey Nichols has authority in fashion, beauty and lifestyle on social media. The role will be accountable for all our social media platforms including, but not limited to, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
The Social Media Editor will also be expected to develop the Harvey Nichols social media and content strategy, as well as taking an active lead in creating and uploading all social media content with the support of the wider team.
What you will be doing:
Working with the Junior Social Media Manager to deliver our social media strategy that will clearly outline what social media channels we have (and why) as well as our approach to each of these channels in a way that is unique and differentiated in the market.
Work closely with the Creative Content team to ensure we are distributing content on our social media channels that is aligned with our brand vision and has the HN authority.
Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders in the wider business as well as day-to-day liasing with other departments to ensure all marketing objectives are met, product launches covered, and key initiatives supported.
Responsible for overseeing the day to day management of the Harvey Nichols social media communities on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, Google+ and others.
Working with the Creative Content Editor, ensure we have compelling, relevant and engaging social media content that is in line with our buy and tone of voice
Manage a fast-paced and reactive schedule of regular updates.
Be the brand advocate within the community, ensuring that Harvey Nichols is viewed as a market leader in luxury fashion and lifestyle.
Work closely in mentoring and managing the Junior Social Media Manager and Assistant, ensuring that their objectives and KPI’s are met on a regular basis
Ensure that key products and brand stories are communicated by liaising with all the relevant departments such as buying, online and editorial.
Work closely with the regional stores to ensure a regional presence is reflected on our social channels and that satellite account content (e.g. OXO) is of high quality and reflects our brand.
Ensure we are creating engaging conversations across our range of social media channels.
Use social media listening tools to guide you in the conversations and insight-driven content planning.
Set and monitor KPIs for measuring the success of social media channels, analyse, review, and report on effectiveness of new initiatives.
Manage the creative and budget for social media advertising during key promotional periods
A bit about your experience:
Know your Balenciaga from your Balmain, your Kardashian from your K-Pop
Proven previous experience in a similar role at Editor or manager level
Bachelor Degree: Marketing, PR, Journalism or related (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in Marketing, Digital, and Social Media strategy with demonstrated success in the role(s) working for either a comparable brand or an agency.
Excellent experience in social media community management.
Excellent knowledge of local social media landscape.
Strong experience of using social listening tools.
Luxury experience essential.
