Foodmarket & Deli Cafe Manager

We have an exciting and unique opportunity for a Manager to run both the Foodmarket & Deli Cafe at the Manchester Store. Experience in hospitality as well as food sales would be an advantage.  You will be responsible for the Foodmarket, Wineshop and Deli Café, ensuring all stock, sale sand compliance regulations are adhered to. To maximise sales, service and events through liaising with Press & Marketing, Corporate Sales and the General Manager. 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Maximise sales by staying abreast of market trends and customer expectations.
• Ensure the Foodmarket, Wineshop and Deli Café meets sales targets through effective business analysis and implementing sales methods where required
• Ensure that the Foodmarket and Wineshop is merchandised and ticketed to maximise impact in accordance with company standards.
• To work in conjunction with Head Office in regard to seasonal stock and hampers ensuring maximum sell through.
• To support set up and prepare the Cafe before service, ensuring all standards are adhered to.
• To ensure all staff compliance training is undertaken and recorded in-line with government and Food Safety legislation.
• To train and support staff in giving fast, efficient, and polite service to the maximum of their ability.
• To consider the customer's satisfaction at all times and to handle customer queries / complaints.
• To have a thorough working knowledge of the menus and be able to input with creation.
• To be aware of all security rules and regulations, not only within your own department but in Manchester Store as a whole.
• To carry out any other reasonable request as made by the senior management of the Manchester Store.
• To be proactive with the employee life cycle from recruitment to performance management.
• To identify training requirements, and to organise and follow through on ‘on-job’ training.
• To have a thorough working knowledge of Health and Safety Policy, and to ensure by good housekeeping that correct standards of hygiene, cleanliness and safely are adhered to.

ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE

• Experience as a Manager working with both food prep and service and managing a team to deliver high standardsExperience of Wine and Spirits woudl be desirable
• Face problems and challenges with a positive 'can do' attitude and remain approachable and helpful to others.
• A strong interest in food and service.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Diligent and self-motivated.
• A pro-active individual demonstrating initiative and adaptability.
• Knowledge of Food Safety / Allergens woudl be desirable however full training will be given.
