Foodmarket and Wine Shop Manager

As the Department Manger you would be reporting to the Hospitality Manager and working together with the store management team to overseeing the daily operation of the Foodmarket and Wine Shop. The role involves acting as a role model and building professional relationships with all staff in store including concession staff and those in support functions.

This is a full-time permanent position, and you will be expected to work 37.5 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis, including evenings and weekends.

Salary for this role starts at £26,249 per annum with an increase after successfully passing our probation period. You would also be eligible for the management bonus scheme.

What you will be doing

  • Provide coaching and management to your team enabling them to drive success
  • Be devoted to our customers by providing the highest possible standards of customer service both face to face and via the telephone or email
  • Manage the department inventory to achieve stock accuracy and margin percentage targets at all times
  • Work with HR in the recruitment and selection of your team
  • Show we are obsessed with style by maintaining a high standard of presentation and merchandising of products in your department
  • Take accountability for finding a resolution to customer queries and complaints.
  • Develop a high level of product knowledge and share your opinions on current and future trends
  • Celebrate your team’s fabulousness wherever you see it

Skills and experience you need

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar retail/sales management role
  • Sales driven attitude with a desire to achieve the best possible level of customer service is essential.
  • Strong leadership skills and organisational skills
  • High level of brand awareness and product knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills
