We are seeking an Editorial Production Executive who will be part of the Editorial and Content team at Harvey Nichols. Our ambition is to deliver leading Fashion, Beauty and Food content to our customer segments and the industry. Admired by our peers, your role will be to work under the guidance of the Production Manager to support the Editorial and Online teams, to confidently coordinate the output of ‘business as usual’ digital editorial and marketing assets.
What you will be doing
You will coordinate the editorial schedule according to the weekly content and trade meetings, and keep the schedule and production log up to date with changes.
Liaising with the content, marketing, ecommerce and regional teams, you will help co-ordinate the critical path, scheduling logistics and go-live of each project, including online, instore, email, direct mail, partnerships, press, trade and advertising, from receipt of brief, through scheduling, copy, design and approvals.
Manage approvals and deadlines for each and every stakeholder in a project by trafficking requirements to ensure assigned lead times are met.
You will print out the editorial assets for sign off by the Editorial team, and you will circulate to all stakeholders for sign off and oversee any amends. You will also check briefs are complete before circulating the requirements.
You will take ownership of the homepage ‘content stream’ working with the Managing Editor and product marketing team to prioritise stories and collate a weekly brief to deadline.
Working alongside the Managing Editor and Production Executive you will confidently control day to day briefing traffic and creative requests, keeping the production log and scheduling calendar up to date as you go.
Skills and experience you need
You will have previous experience of working with Project Management software
You will have knowledge of Editorial copywriting and Graphic Design
You will have excellent visual and verbal communication skills
You will have strong attention to detail
You will have good knowledge of PC skills (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
You are a pro-active individual demonstrating initiative and imagination
You are a problem-solver who is methodical, detail oriented and organized
You are confident dealing with queries at all levels
You have strong fashion knowledge
You have a “can do it” attitude
