Luxury department store, Harvey Nichols, is searching for a new Demi Chef to join its thriving restaurants instore in Knightsbridge. Our culture is based on inclusivity; we embrace diversity. Whoever you are, Harvey Nichols has a place for you. 

As the new Demi Chef, you will work 40 hours a week in our Knightsbridge store.

About the role…

As a Demi Chef, you will: 

  • Maintain the safe use of equipment, reporting any faulty or damaged equipment to the relevant manager on duty.
  • Form a productive relationship with the front of house and bar staff, communicating regularly to allow smooth operations.
  • Ensure all health and safety practices are adhered to, as well as food hygiene regulations and security procedures. Ensure the team adhere to these procedures, and report any issues to managers as necessary.
  • Participate in functions and special events, working efficiently within a team to meet the standards set by senior chefs and provide excellent customer service.
  • Ensure sufficient Mise-En-Place, ordering, cleaning, labels and preparation carried out to the standards set by senior chefs.
