We are seeking a Data Protection Lead to join our Finance team and to undertake key responsibilities required by Harvey Nichols in its compliance with EU General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018.
As a Data Protection Lead, you will ensure all data asset registers are up to date; conducting data protection impact assessments; responding to business requests regarding the application of the legislation and monitoring compliance.
What you will be doing
Oversee data subject access requests
Facilitate responding to alleged data breaches
Create and embed a Record of Processing Activities and Data Asset Register
Advise and support learning and development in the implementation of GDPR ways of working across the entire business
Conduct comprehensive Privacy Impact Assessments
Give advice and recommendations to the business about the interpretation or application of the data protection rules
Handle queries or complaints on request by the business on the application of the Data Protection Act 2018
Create, implement and embed policy and processes that support the implementation of the Data Protection Act 2018 in Harvey Nichols
Implement controls based on the results of the Privacy Impact Assessments
Identify and mitigate risks associated with the processing of personal data
Manage Data Protection Agreements with third party data processors
Skills and experience you need
You have a strong prior experience as a Data Protection Lead/Manager
You have an expert knowledge of data protection law and practices
You have a good interpersonal and communication skills
You have a good analytical and problem solving skills
You are able to work well under pressure and time constraints
You have an high regard for attention to detail
You are a positive and friendly person
You have a can-do attitude
