D&I AND WELLBEING MANAGER

Harvey Nichols is looking for its first D&I and Wellbeing Manager. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and influencing how the diversity, inclusion and well-being agenda looks at Harvey Nichols. This is an exciting opportunity to promote wellbeing, diversity & inclusion within Harvey Nichols, recognise, create and implement plans to promote D&I and Wellbeing across the Group. You will immerse yourself in all things Harvey Nichols and across all stores to understand the business, the teams and really get under the skin of Harvey Nichols to expand our D&I and Wellbeing program to create an environment where everyone feels they belong and can be their authentic selves at work

You will be a trusted partner to senior leaders and managers, providing expert support and advice to enable the successful delivery of Harvey Nichols Diversity, Inclusion and Well-being agenda and be an ambassador for D&I and Wellbeing.

You will have strong Wellbeing, Diversity and Inclusion experience gained within a consumer facing environment. This role requires an understanding and awareness of wellbeing, diversity and inclusion issues and best practice plus a working knowledge of implementing a range of initiatives across a business. You will work with all stores across the country to encourage a D&I and Wellbeing first mindset for all our sites. As the D&I and Wellbeing Manager you must be dedicated to the continual progression of wellbeing, diversity and inclusion policies. It is vital that you are personable and good at communicating with and influencing people.

What you will be doing:

• Researching and advising on wellbeing, diversity and inclusion issues and creating programmes, and values around this across race, gender, mental health and social mobility etc
• Chairing the Harvey Nichols Group Diversity Forum, leading the team members
• Being the first point of contact to provide advice, guidance, and support on D&I and Wellbeing issues for staff.
• Creating wellbeing and diversity and inclusion networks to ensure all groups have a voice in the organisation
• Working with other employee groups to share best practice and develop new ways or working together
• Creating positive action interventions to support under-represented groups
• Working with the HR Data Analyst to create D&I analytics to understand and track performance in the organisation, including legislative requirements
• Celebrating D&I and Wellbeing through organised events and awareness sessions.
• D&I assessments of wider organisational practices and processes and looking at how to imbed D&I practices into all roles
• Working with the HR team and wider organisation to create inclusive working practices.
• Development of D&I and Wellbeing training programmes and resources with L&D team.
• Working with the L&D team to review onboarding and training resources to ensure they are inclusive for all
• Increasing employee engagement in relation to D&I through working with employee networks, senior stakeholders and the communication team.
• Supporting and guiding the recruitment team to help create a brand that appeals to all applicants and removes bias
• Reviewing and updating the organisations workplace, policies, and procedures, ensuring that these are all inclusive
• Owning relationships with our inclusion partners and ensuring ongoing commitment to D&I and Wellbeing with external organisations (BRC etc) are met
• Be a member and be well networked within appropriate external D&I and Wellbeing forums
• Keeping up to date with D&I and Wellbeing trends in the retail sector as well as across all other industries and globally, working to ensure the firm is proactive and progressive in its approach to D&I and Wellbeing.
