Credit Controller - 26 hours per week

Luxury department store, Harvey Nichols, is searching for a new Credit Controller for 26 hours per week, to join its thriving Accounts Payable department in our Head Office in London – Knightsbridge. About the role… 
 
As Credit Controller you will support mainly the Fashion Team to clear Negative balance from Creditors Ledger and will post all Debit Notes to ledger accounts across the function. This role will provide visibility across all functions, working inclusively with Buyers, AP and Brands.

  • Post all Green Debit Notes from Portal in a timely manner to Supplier Ledger Accounts.
  • Maintenance of Negative balance report and minimum debt particularly aged debt 3 months plus.
  • Chase suppliers for Credit Notes to clear Negative balance.
  • Work with and communicate to Buying teams to chase and clear debt.
  • Send out Pre-Legal letters with buying approval to suppliers.
  • Work with Assistant Payable Manager to provide backing document to send to debt collection agency.
  • Work with AP team to ensure Debit Notes are being deducted from payments.
  • Provide ongoing updates to the Assistant manager for any escalation.
  • Provide in depth historical reconciliations to brands upon request.
  • Provide ongoing support to Assistant Manager, AP Team, Buyers, and Brands to clear all outstanding debt!
  • Work with Assistant Payables Manager on Provisions and Write offs.
  • Ensuring all month end and year end processes are completed.
  • Any other Adhoc duties as required by Managers.
