CREATIVE PRODUCER & BOOKINGS EDITOR

Harvey Nichols is in an exciting, ambitious phase of evolution. We are seeking an exceptional Creative Producer and Bookings Editor to join our Creative Content Team and help shape our future. Collaborating with internal and external teams, you will use your bookings, production and casting credentials to deliver creative photo shoots on brand, in budget and on time.

This role will support the Creative & Marketing departments by supervising regular output of ‘business as usual’ shoot production. You will prioritise the creative content schedule, in addition to bespoke projects, partnerships, regular brand launches and adhoc requests. You will work closely with the Creative Content Editor, Production Co-Ordinator and Head of Creative and Content to deliver the shoot schedule across all categories of business, and with the Creative Production Manager ensure asset delivery meets stringent go-live deadlines.

This position requires a highly organised and proactive individual, with a proven ability to multi-task, excellent communication skills and industry contacts to match. Taking ownership of creative shoot production, planning and budget, you will mentor the Production Co-Ordinator and implement workflows, templates and processes for Harvey Nichols.

What You Will Be Doing: 

  • Work with the Creative Content Editor and Head of Creative and Content to produce all photo shoots across all BAU business, seasonal campaigns and special projects
  • Manage the Creative Content budget, monitoring all shoot budgets to ensure wider Marketing departmental budgets are adhered to.
  • Produce all internal and external shoots within set budget
  • Working with the Head of Creative & Content and Creative Content Editor develop the casting direction in line with the evolution of the Harvey Nichols brand
  • Nurture relationships with key model agencies to source talent for all fashion and beauty shoots.
  • Support the Creative team by sourcing, approaching, briefing and negotiating with the approved creative teams
  • With the support of the Production Co-Ordinator, be responsible for the booking of creative teams including photographers, models, set design, props, models, hair, makeup, and nails.
  • Implement workflow and process templates for all bookings and production, including budgets.
  • Oversee the Production Co-Ordinator to ensure all shoot production admin, including studio, locations, equipment/lighting, call sheets, transport, couriers and catering is arranged and booked.
  • Plan the shoot and creative production schedule as directed by the Head of Creative and Content
  • Stay abreast of upcoming projects and work with the Creative Content Editor and the Creative Production Manager on planning across all categories of business
  • Manage and maintain a detailed record of all agency contracts, agreements and usage rights and have a thorough understanding of copyright law relating to usage rights, regularly seeking legislation updates to ensure the business adheres to these rules and regulations.
  • Mange the Creative Production Co-Ordinator providing guidance within performance reviews, general workflow and development.
  • Guide the Production Co-Ordinator in ensuring all pictures are credited where relevant and according to best practice.
  • Lead the co-ordination of post-production in order to ensure schedules are agreed and image delivery meets deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with creative, artist and model agencies
  • Attend photo shoots where required to manage on-set production

A Little Bit About Your Experience: 

  • Should know their Balenciaga from their Balmain
  • Previous experience in a Producer and/or Bookings Editor with casting experience in a similar business
  • Management experience with junior teams.
  • A comprehensive understanding and interest in the luxury industry, encompassing fashion, beauty, food and hospitality
  • Proven experience in managing budgets and budgeting systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Photoshop
  • An extensive list of strong industry contacts
  • Confident in managing up, down and across teams
  • Strong team leadership and project management skills
  • A balance of creative and commercial know-how
  • Should ideally be educated to degree level
