What you will be doing

  • To carry out duties assigned by Head Chef and Sous Chefs
  • To liaise with the Head Chef over menu developments and changes
  • To ensure that stocktaking and stock control procedures are followed.
  • To all Mise in place is of a high standard and ready for service at appropriate times of the day
  • To ensure Mise en place is labelled and dated thus enabling proper stock rotation and minimal wastage
  • To produce and serve food in accordance with current authorised recipes.
  • To ensure by good housekeeping that the correct standards of hygiene, cleanliness and safety are maintained.
  • To be aware of the restaurant’s Health and Safety arrangements.
  • To be aware of the security regulations within the kitchen and throughout the restaurant.
  • To participate in staff training within this section in accordance with Head Chef’s procedures.
  • To maintain good care of equipment and utensils within the kitchen and appraise the Head Chef’s procedures.
  • To liaise with Front of House management to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Restaurant.
  • To run any section of the Kitchen when required.
  • To assist the Head Chef in the recruitment of staff.
  • To organise, control and discipline staff whilst ensuring good staff relations, morale and team spirit.
  • Any other duties as may be requested by the Head Chef.    

A bit about you

  • You have previous kitchen experience, in a CDP role or similar 
  • Good knife skills
  • Elementary food hygiene
  • You will be passionate about food and quality
  • You thrive under pressure
  • You love working in a team
  • You are eager to develop your skills
