Chef de Partie

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced and ambitious Chef de Partie to join our busy and bustling team in our Edinburgh Forth Floor Brasserie. You will be based at our beautiful 4th floor restaurant on St Andrew Square, a short walk from Waverley Station

This is a great opportunity for an experienced chef to work with an energetic, highly skilled and knowledgeable team, gaining invaluable skills and knowledge to assist them in their career. We have a full time position available working 45 hours per week, including weekends and evenings. 

The average salary for this role is £30,934 per annum, this is comprised of a base salary of £23,400 (based on a 45 hours contract) and an estimated average earnings of around £7,534 per annum in TRONC and Tips. Further to this, the base salary will increase to £24,102 (45 hours contract) after successfully passing probation period. 

What you will be doing

• Support the Head Chef and Sous Chefs across the kitchen
• Provide ideas and opinions over menu development and changes
• Be solely responsible for ensuring sufficient Mise-en-Place is ready for service
• Carry out stocktaking and stock control
• Work closely with your team and celebrate fabulousness wherever you see it

Skills and experience you need

• Experience working in a similar type of environment or quality restaurant is essential for this role.
• Good knife skills
• Elementary food hygiene
