In partnership with Westminster Kingsway College we have developed our amazing 15 months apprenticeship programme. Here at Harvey Nichols we are daring to be different at every step and that is exactly what we are looking for in our future talent.

What you will be doing

• During the programme you will work 4 days on site and 1 day at Westminster Kingsway College; where you will learn everything about being a chef from knife skills through to being able to create amazing food;
• You will be working with a great team of qualified and inspiring chefs whilst developing your culinary skills;
• You will be exposed to and learn about great ingredients and products;
• You will learn how to use kitchen equipment in a safe and correct way, following Health and Safety procedures;
• You will constantly learn about allergens and intolerances and the procedures to ensure we are compliant at all times.
• You will be actively contributing to our corporate social responsibility projects such as reducing food waste and decreasing the environmental impact of our menus.

Skills and experience you need

• Chef experience is required, but a desire to learn;
• Maths and English Level 2 (equivalent to GCSEs at grades A*-C or 9-4) is desirable;
• Cooking is a science, so having an eye for details is a plus;
• Strong communication skills.
