Cash Office Assistant - Knightsbridge Store

Job Purpose

To ensure that all Cash Office tasks are carried out to a high level promptly and accurately ensuring that controls and procedures are adhered to, in order to minimise the risk of financial loss.

Job Objectives

  • Work to end of month financial deadlines
  • Manage floats and change
  • Manage and reconcile the various reports used for banking in our hospitality and retail areas
  • Count and bank takings with adherence to the Cash Office and company policies
  • Issue and reconcile expenses ensuring that all requests are authorised at the appropriate level, expense codes are accurate and company policy followed
  •  Reconcile all inflow and outflow of monies of all currencies and payment tenders on a daily basis
  •  Manage card payment units of all types, liase with payment processors, resolve technical issues  and complete audits
  •  Navigate through the many payment and banking portals which we use daily
  •  Highlight and investigate all reconciliation variances reporting to the Cash Office Manager and relevant teams
  •  Investigate and report till discrepancies
  •  Resolve errors and queries via phone, email and in person to a high level
  •  Liase with all relevant external departments and companies promptly when required
  •  Investigate thoroughly and challenge chargebacks and disputes
  •  Manage receipts and all Cash Office related paperwork adhering to legal requirements regarding the using and storing of information
  •  React quickly to policy change and the needs of the business

 

Qualifications & Experience required

  •  Experience of working in a Cash Office is beneficial but not essential
  •  Experience with creating excel spreadsheets
