BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST - CHISWICK, WEST LONDON

The primary role is very much a customer facing role where they will be working closely with the user base, assessing requirements, recommending solutions and providing internal package knowledge. Also working with the rest of the IT team to help shape an IT strategy that will ensure we deliver IT solutions that improve business efficiency and productivity.

A fantastic opportunity for someone working as a Business Analyst who prefers to work in a smaller team and looking for more autonomy and responsbility.

What you will be doing:

  • You will be liaising extensively with users, analysing existing systems with a view to specifying changes to 3rd party solutions, or business process
  • You will be translating user requirements into functional design specifications and business process documentation
  • You will be writing specifications for software and system development both for internal and 3rd party suppliers
  • You will be reviewing 3rd party solutions assessing them for both technical and business suitability incorporating existing or new technologies
  • You will be ensuring any new solution fully integrates  with the existing systems
  • You will be overseeing the implementation of any new system or upgrades; providing expertise to both internal users and 3rd parties ensuring the solution fully meet user requirements and is delivered within timescales and to budget
  • You will be preparing documentation and presenting progress reports to customers both written and orally
  • In conjunction with the Development Manager, you will manage the project life cycle from concept to rollout

Your experience:

  • You will have experience using project methodology (Prince2) or Agile (Scrum)
  • You will have experience in Business Process mapping
  • You will have a complete confidence creating, querying relational databases
  • You will have experience of creating, using and manipulating XML
  • You wil have a good understanding ofIIS/SQL Server
  • If possible some exposure to .NET Client development (Winforms)
  • Ideally have experience with In-depth commercial knowledge of at least one business area, Retail, MMS, WMS, HR(Carval), Finance(Openaccounts), Ecommerce or BI
