Job Purpose

Managing day to day running of FWR department, assuring that customers; purchased garments has been altered to high HN standard and on time. Responsibility of health and safety (wellbeing) of FWR team (rota, holidays) and provide regular technical training. Superintend weekly book keeping, recharges, invoices and payroll.

Job Objectives

Ensure the satisfaction of all customers by ensuring that prompt, courteous and efficient service is given by your team, at all times.

Instigate and maintain high morale, motivation and team spirit, recognising outstanding performance and contribution to team objectives.  Devise and implement methods to ensure this.

Effectively manage staffing levels, ensuring that these correspond to the present and future business levels.  Meet budget requirements and ensure that productivity levels are optimised at all times.

Managing daily FWR operations - Logging in garments to be altered, organising and allocating work to machinists and outworker.

Responsible for the quality control of altered garments.

Inputting daily fittings and doing internal and external alterations (garment count).

Ensure housekeeping is of a high standard and safety of technical equipment (annual service).

Manage Concession recharges (alterations and dry cleaning) and dry cleaning invoices and outworker invoices.

Managing income, cost control and conduct annually review of FWR procedures and price list.

Qualifications & Experience required

Proficient in Microsoft Office , book keeping

Thorough understanding of garment construction

Sewing and pattern cutting experience.

Ability to work to tight deadlines
