We are looking for an experienced Assistant Department Manager to join our Beauty team.


The role

You will coordinate between the beauty counter brands and Harvey Nichols, ensuring everyone is focused on providing the best customer service. With the help of your team you will ensure the highest of standards are kept across the floor and ensuring information is shared throughout all brands to drive maximum sales in the wider department. This role is full time, working 40 hours a week. You will be required to work weekends and evenings so flexibility is essential.


What you will be doing

  • Communicating targets, figures and rankings on a daily basis with the counters
  • Checking in with Staff ensuring everyone is ready for the day and aligned with the Key Drivers for the department
  • Ensure all new launches are ready and set to go on at the right time, monitoring stock and key messaging is arranged.
  • Prepare information for senior management to delivery in meetings
  • Meet and Store Approve all new starters for the department, ensuring a high level of candidates are recruited into the business.
  • Maintaining a high standard of presentation and merchandising of products in your department
  • Take accountability for finding a resolution to customer queries and complaints.
  • Work closely with your team and celebrate fabulousness wherever you see it

 

Skills and experience you need

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar customer facing role, ideally within the Beauty industry
  • Experience of management or mentoring
  • Enjoy and know our brands and products
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
