We are looking for an Assistant Buyer to join our Beauty Buying Team. As Assistant Buyer you will assist and deputise for the Buyer in all operations of the Buying function through the effective administration of the department and the management of sales, margin, mark-downs and stock delivery information to meet agreed departmental objectives with specific reference to the fragrance category.
What you will be doing
Attend Supplier meetings to understand new marketing strategies and new launches
Support the Buyer in identifying new products and their suitability for our brand
Liaise with in store Department Managers on a weekly basis to ensure familiarity with the ranges, highlighting key brands and beauty trends and reviewing sales
Ensure that all departmental information records are accurately set up and maintained
Prepare analysis and sales information for buying appointments
Manage continuity stock for all fragrance brands within the department, ensuring orders are correct to PAR and meet expected sales.
Assist the buyer in raising all new launch orders for all fragrance of brands.
Plan sales density drawings for the fragrance department in every store and make recommendations to the buyer of improvements and changes.
Ensure product selection & strategy is communicated internally.
Skills and experience you need
You will have a previous experience as a Buying Administrator
You will have a previous experience in beauty Buying environment
You will have an excellent communication skills
You will have good negotiation skills
You will have an excellent organisational and planning skills and ability to work tight deadline
You are good at building professional relationship at all levels
You are confident dealing with queries at all levels
You have strong beauty knowledge
You have a “can do it” attitude
