You’ll combine analytical precision with creative flair, helping to deliver a standout accessories range that excites our customers and strengthens our position as the ultimate style destination.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll play a key role in the success of our Accessories department, ensuring every decision reflects both brand vision and customer insight.
Administration & Analysis
- Maintain accurate departmental records, ensuring data integrity across sales, stock, and margin reports.
- Review weekly trading information and make actionable recommendations to the Buyer.
- Produce ad-hoc performance reports to inform buying strategies.
- Support in developing sales histories and brand performance reviews for range planning.
Buying Support
- Liaise weekly with Department Managers to discuss range performance, highlight key brands, and identify emerging trends.
- Collaborate with the Sales and Visual teams to ensure accessories are presented in a way that maximises impact and sales.
- Conduct regular competitive shopping to track market trends and competitor activity.
- Support the Buyer in reviewing potential new suppliers and identifying future seasonal trends.
- Attend UK and international buying appointments to resource and select a compelling, commercial accessories range.
Leadership & Communication
- Supervise, train, and motivate the Buying Administrator.
- Communicate effectively across Merchandising, Stores, Warehouse, and external suppliers to ensure seamless operations.
- Share departmental strategies and key product stories with internal teams to ensure alignment across the business.
About You
We’re looking for someone who lives and breathes fashion — particularly accessories — and thrives in a fast-paced, ever-evolving retail environment.
- Highly numerate with strong analytical skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Advanced Excel and reporting skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Collaborative and proactive with a “can-do” attitude
- Strong understanding of the Harvey Nichols customer and brand mix
- A genuine passion for accessories and luxury fashion trends
About Your Experience
- Proven experience as an Assistant Buyer, ideally within accessories or fashion
- Previous experience within a luxury or premium retail environment highly desirable
